Donate.

It's easy to help a deserving girl change her world by donating to our 501(c)(3) scholarship fund via our partnership with the American Camp Association; you can write a check, payable to the “ACA Scholarship Fund,” with “Camp Kupugani” in the lower left-hand corner memo line; send it to us here at Camp Kupugani, 6903 W. White Eagle Rd., Leaf River, IL, 61047.  If you prefer to donate via the web, you can make a secure donation on-line in less than a minute; just specify the Camp Kupugani scholarship fund in the “Comments/Acknowledgements” section towards the bottom of the form.  A contribution of any amount, big or small, helps us maintain the diversity that makes the camp experience at Kupugani so fantastic.

Your donation empowers and supports deserving girls

Being owned and directed by people of color, Camp Kupugani has in place the necessary support systems and intentionality in staffing to properly sustain a program of multiculturalism and diversity.  By specially recruiting campers and counselors of color, as well as identifying and supporting all of our campers, our program opens up the camp experience to girls who otherwise would never have the opportunity to go to camp and feel supported.  We respectfully ask for your help so we can continue to reflect our mission of promoting community and empowerment among diverse girls, and equal access to our campers.  Donor support from individuals not only tells our campers that their dreams matter, but sends an equally powerful message to corporations, foundations and other outside sources of support that Camp Kupugani’s mission can help change the world and is one of the best investments one can make.  You can also rest easy knowing that your money will be used efficiently; almost 93 cents on the dollar goes directly towards tuition for a deserving girl.

Camper comments

Donor support has allowed our campers to comment:  “I love Camp Kupugani, because it gives me challenging opportunities to do better.  It gives me more knowledge about life and teaches me to be brave and try new things.  It gives me great and fun experiences.”  “I love Camp Kupugani, because we can have fun and be ourselves at the same time.”  “Camp Kupugani helped me communicate.  It also helped me overcome obstacles and really think.”  (You can check out more camper comments here...)

Parent comments

Donor support has allowed our parents to be able to make comments such as:  She was challenged mentally and physically. She…was able to wrap her mind around the discussions and bring home lessons about what she learned from the girls’ stories, more about diversity, injustice, and also privilege.” “The level of experience and diversity among the staff was exceptional.” “I thought it was a phenomenal program and impact on my daughter.”  (You can check out more parent comments here...)
